High School Basketball – State Sectionals

The Cumberland County High School Jets traveled to Alcoa High School on Monday for a Sectional game with the Tornadoes. CCHS dropped a 75-30 decision as they ended their season with a 21 and 12 record. Alcoa moves on to Murfreesboro and the State Tournament. The Jets advanced to the Sectionals (or Substate) for the first time since the 2004-2005 season. They claimed third in the District 7AAA regular season standings, finished second in the District Tournament, and claimed the runner-up spot in the Region 4AAA Tournament.
