A Jamestown woman has been charged in connection to a fatal shooting in Jamestown. Fentress County Deputies responded to the 100 block of Whippoorwill Lane just before 9am Thursday (4/9/2026) where they located Samuel Jennings suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. The suspect, Jolina Upchurch, was apprehended later Thursday and has been charged with Criminal Homicide. (Photo courtesy Fentress County Sheriff’s Office.)
