A 7-month old infant was found deceased in a vehicle in at the Monterey Library on Wednesday (4/15/2026). The Monterey Police Department and Putnam County Sheriff’s Office responded around 4pm and believe the baby may have been left in the vehicle for hours with the engine turned off and the windows rolled up. The investigation is active and ongoing.
