Several White County Deputies Complete ARIDE Course

By Ronni Chase Apr 21, 2026 | 7:44 PM

The White County Sheriff’s Office congratulates Deputy Mullins, Deputy Barriger,  Deputy Miller, and Deputy Hunt for successfully competing the Advanced Roadside Impaired Driving Enforcement (ARIDE) course.  The Sheriff’s office says standard sobriety tests often focus on alcohol, but ARIDE bridges the gap by training officers to detect impairment from drugs or a combination of substances. The specialized 16-hour program was provided at no cost to our agency by the Tennessee Highway Safety Office (THSO). (Photo courtesy WCSO.
