The Monterey Police Department arrested Charles Martin Davis on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 following an investigation into suspected theft of money from an elderly woman. According to a press release, Davis was able to obtain the victim’s financial account information and over a period of time, was able to take $17,500 from the victim. Mr. Davis was arrested and was transported to the Putnam County Jail where he was booked on the warrants. His bond was set at $50,000.00 for the Financial Exploitation of Elderly or Vulnerable Person warrant and $35,000.00 for the Theft of property warrant.
