A 72-year-old Florida man died Friday from injuries sustained in a boating accident on Watts Bar Reservoir.
According to TWRA, Stephen Mason, of Homosassa, Florida was on a pontoon boat at Sand Bar Island with his wife and friends when he fell overboard.
Emergency personnel from Rhea and Meigs counties and other volunteer agencies responded to the scene around 2 p.m.
Mr. Mason died at the scene. He was not wearing a life jacket.
This is the 16th boating-related fatality in Tennessee this year.
