Following Saturday’s game between Tennessee and Auburn the Southeastern Conference handed out it’s weekly awards for Offensive, Defensive, and Special Teams players of the week.
All three of those awards went to a Tennessee Volunteer. DeSean Bishop was awarded the Offensive Player of the Week after rushing for 220 yards with 3 touchdowns while averaging 7 yards a carry. Defensive Player of the Week went to Dejuan Lane who had 9 tackles, 2 sacks, and a interception. The Special Teams Player of the Week went to Tennessee’s Aussie Jackson Ross who punted 6 times with 5 of those punts being downed inside the 20 yard line. He also averaged 44 yards a punt.
