Fentress County Executive Jacob E. Rosenbaum has announced that “the State has formally confirmed that Fentress County is no longer being evaluated for a nuclear waste repository.” This comes after thousands of Fentress County residents signed a petition against the proposed nuclear waste repository. Rosenbaum thanked the Fentress County Commissioners for their unanimous decision to stand together on the issue, state legislators for their advocacy on behalf of the community, and Fentress County citizens who made their voices heard.
