On Sunday, a section of I-440 in Nashville was dedicated in honor of a slain Tennessee Department Of Correction Administrator who was brutally murdered by an escaped inmate in 2019. A car parade and dedication were held Sunday for the Debra K. Johnson Memorial Parkway in Nashville. Johnson had worked for TDOC for more than 38 years when escaped inmate Curtis Watson savagely killed her on the grounds of the state prison in Henning, Tennessee. Watson remained on the run for five days before being captured. He is still awaiting trial.
